were done by the Englewood Artists at Mannion Gallery

This water color art was done by Rotonda artist Connie Patterson.  She likes to paint
florida scenes and roosters. An interesting combination I think. (941) 697-5597

This is Loren Schumann of Schumann Glass Art, a Sarasota artist that I've known for many years,
and the the friend that called me and invited me to stop out at the show.  Loren and his art glass
apprentice Joe-Ellen make custom designed etched, carved and stained glass doors and windows
for commercial and residential buildings.

And I thought the colorful shorts were very artistic (and it was an art show)
so I could resist asking if I could photograph them.

I ran into my old friend Jim Sears at this show also.
These solid bronze "flying turtles" turned out to be one of my favorite images from the entire show.

Food and drink were available, with some very comfortable seating
in the cool shade of a large stand of island palms.

But I had an afternoon appointment to start a documentary video of some local
environmental problems, so I had to leave the show early.

And as I stood there and waited for the ferry to come and pick me up,
I took some pictures of the prettiest things I saw.
