Solo guitarist Beth Marshall of North Port played guitar at the Englewood
Cafe
during the art show and added a beautiful background sound for all
to enjoy.

I had the opportunity to meet and photograph a lot of new Englewood
Artists at The Englewood
Fine Arts Festival. Out of the hundreds of photographs
I took, I especially liked this piece of
fused glass art above by Josephina Espinosa of Port Charlotte because
the hair in this photograph was
made with a very specially formulated kind of glass called "Wasser
glass" who's name came from
the inventor Robert Wasser... who was my favorite uncle. I also
liked these colorful abstracts below.

Rotonda Rock had an interesting table full of prehistoric fossils and
other goodies...
I thought the heart pendant above was absolutely stunning. Looking

Englewood photographer John Flower always has a great variety of nature

I like to stop and visit with him whenever I can since we agree that
great nature photography
is really just a combination of preparedness, patience and luck.

but my space and time is limited... so I try to add some
of the most friendly.

And when the show was over, I stopped into Bootleggers for something
to drink, and this
cute little girl sees me in the hall with my large camera and yells...
"Hey, I want to do an interview..."
So I set up my camera and said "OK, what did you want to say..."
At first she was lost for words..
but then with a little help from her friend, she quickly started spouting
out her name,
age, and where she goes to school (which I can't share with you).
But she did it very well, so I told her I'd put her on my web page.
So I hope she likes her picture here.
